TONDARELLA RESTAURANT
Tondarella opens in Turin, the first restaurant to reinterpret the traditional Romagna piadina in an original way.
At the heart of the interior design project, the result of collaboration between Tondarella, Odeon Design Studio and our technical team, lay a clear objective: to create a welcoming place in every detail, capable of harmoniously combining aesthetics with acoustic comfort. The outcome is an environment that celebrates both design and conviviality, offering guests the warm atmosphere so typical of Romagna.
The venue extends over two floors, organised into spacious open-plan rooms designed to encourage interaction and socialising. The presence of numerous reflective surfaces, however, made a targeted acoustic intervention essential in order to eliminate reverberation and allow diners to fully enjoy every moment without disturbance.
From this need, the Marea Collection was created: 120x120 cm sound-absorbing panels which, when applied sequentially to the wall, are transformed into a refined ribbed boiserie, combining functionality with aesthetic value. The design, signed by Odeon Design Studio, draws inspiration from the perfection of the circle, giving rise to vertical lines of varying widths. The arcs of circumference create an elegant, dynamic rhythm, further enhanced by the gently convex profile that lends softness and visual depth. The mélange fabric texture, with its delicate tones, enriches the sensory experience.
Designed with versatility in mind, the Marea Collection adapts easily to both linear walls and curved surfaces. In the case of Tondarella, it was also used on the ceiling: the bespoke installation involved setting the panels into a wooden frame made to measure, seamlessly integrating with the furnishings and harmonising with the overall project.
